Wrinkle Fillers

Botox® Cosmetic, a purified botulinum toxin, can smooth out crow's feet, frown lines, forehead lines by relaxing the muscles where it is injected. The resulting skin appears smooth and unwrinkled. The effects last three to six months.
Botox® Cosmetic can also be used to diminish sweating of the forehead, axillae i.e. (underarm), and hand areas, lasting six to twelve months.

Botox® Cosmetic for Frown Lines

Injectable bovine collagen, (Zyderm® and Zyplast®) smoothes out facial lines and wrinkles, plumps up lips, and scars, by replenishing the natural support layer of collagen beneath your skin. Results are seen immediately, and generally last six to nine months for wrinkles, and three to six months for lips enhancement, before needing re-treatment.
Dr. Binstock has been injecting Collagen since 1980, and several of his patients before and after photographs are used by the manufacturer in their promotional brochures.

Acne Scars and Smile Lines

CosmoDerm® and CosmoPlast® are human collagen products that offer an alternative to Zyderm® and Zyplast®. They can be used by those individuals allergic to bovine collagen, and do not require skin testing. CosmoDerm® and CosmoPlast® effect a smoothing of facial lines, and can create full lips and reduce acne scarring.

Restylane®, now FDA Approved, is hyaluronic acid injectable filler that provides for longer lasting correction of facial wrinkles and grooves. Hyaluronic acid is a stabilized gel that occurs naturally in the body, and is used by cells to provide volume and fullness to the skin. There is no pretesting and immediate treatment is available. Most frequent side effects include swelling, redness, tenderness, pain, and bruising initially at the injection site. Restylane® is genetically engineered and not an animal product. It is currently available in 60 countries.

SCULPTRA® was recently approved by the FDA to restore, recontour and fill in the lost volume in sunken facial areas, and to smooth away wrinkles. This unique product actually stimulates the skin’s own fibroblasts to grow its own new collagen. Composed of poly-L-lactic acid, i.e. a safe material used in sutures for over 40 years, Sculptra® does not require skin testing, and its benefits can last two years or longer.

Captique® and Hylaform® are two new FDA approved fillers made of an organic substance found within your skin. They help restore the skin's natural look by reducing lines, wrinkles, acne scars, enhance lips, and add definition to chin and cheeks. Hylaform and Hylaform Plus are avian in origin, while Captique is a non-animal hyluronic acid filler. Both can be used immediately without skin testing.

Implants are another option available for filling in deeper wrinkles and creating fuller lips. SoftForm® is a synthetic Gortex-like implantable hollow tube which effects a permanent filling of the lips and softening of the smile line. This implant is surgically placed via a small incision. The potential risk include firmness, position shifting, infection, scarring, etc.
