About Dr. Binstock

One of the first surgeons to perform liposuction in America, Dr. Binstock trained in Paris with the procedure's inventors, Dr. Ives Gerard Illouz and Dr. Pierre Fournier. He incorporated liposuction to his practice in 1983 and has successfully performed thousands of procedures on satisfied patients over the past 22 years with an outstanding safety record. Dr. Binstock's practice also includes the comprehensive treatment of premature aging and wrinkling of the skin, sun damage, and skin cancer. These treatments include laser skin rejuvenation, Botox® Cosmetic, Sculptra®, Restylane®, Hylaform®, Cosmoplast®, Captique®, Collagen injections, liposuction, lipo (fat) transfer procedures, eyelid lifts, hair transplantation, Soft-Form implants, and Mohs skin cancer surgery. Dr. Binstock strives successfully to improve the overall appearance and health of the skin for his patients. Dr. Binstock started his practice in 1981 and today treats patients in two state-of-the-art offices, one located in the San Francisco financial district and the other in Mill Valley, north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Dedicated to providing full service for patients, Dr. Binstock's offices include two aestheticians and the state of the art skin care products backed by excellent scientific research. Well respected for his work in Mohs Micrographic Surgery for skin cancer, the most effective technique for the removal of problem skin cancers, Dr. Binstock is a diplomate of the American Board of Mohs Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology, as well as the American Board of Dermatology. He is a Fellow of the American Society For Dermatologic Surgery, the American College for Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology, the American Academy of Dermatology, and the American Society of Liposuction Surgery Dr. Binstock received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh, and completed his fellowship in Dermatologic Surgery and Mohs Skin Cancer Surgery at the University of California San Francisco. Dr. Binstock has served on the Board of Directors of the California Dermatological Societies, and as the Dermatology representative to the Medicare Carrier Advisory Council. He lectures nationwide and has authored many articles about aesthetic dermatology, cosmetic surgery, and skin cancer in professional journals and consumer publications. Dr. Binstock also appears frequently on radio and television shows and has been featured in many national newspapers and magazines. |
